went along to these last year warm up session followed by some track racing devil take the hind most points race that kind of thing they split it up into intermediate and highly skilled so you don't end getting lapped to many times !!

I need to go along to one of the sat introduction sessions. Do they have track bikes to hire at H.H? I seem to remember they do but not sure

I'm planning on being at the velodrome at 530 tonight. looks pretty decent here (epsom) just now, nice big blue patches of sky - is it darker in town?

It's only just stopped raining in Southwark, let's see how fast drying the track really is... I'm gonna give HH a miss tonight, gf is making a fuss! See you at the pub a bit later...

yes RPM, I was just going to post this.
I turned up with a mate from work (who hadn't been inducted) and met illy and fruitbat there. since there were three wanting to ride they very nicely decided to run a short induction for them.
Not sure whether they'd do it for a smaller/bigger group on future mondays.
for those of you on the fence about this i really recommend getting out there and trying it. it's awesome fun.

Many thanks to Al for organizing this. Was inducted (as a 'one off', worth going on Saturdays if you haven't already been), and enjoyed plenty of laps. Absolutely fantastic fun, would recommend it to everyone. Makes you realise how much stamina some of these guys have.

I got an induction when they did these free sessions last year, so assumed it would be available.

it does seem, however, reasonable to assume that offering a free session will result in lots of people who've never ridden the 'drome before wanting to have a go...
