you missed our unfinished what is art thread (this fourm is really good at staying on topic) I argued that art is something that exists for asetic reasons alone, where as anything that servers a purpose past that would be design, or some thing that is not art.

scratch the surface of any art theory and you will quickly see that art has never nor will ever 'exist of aesthetic reasons alone'
