  • almost got my polo bike finished but i've lost the damn screw for my quill stem does anyone have a shite old one?

  • Poles are generally quite cheap
A bottle of vodka and a pack of fags is usually enough
If you've got nice legs it won't harm to show them off to lure the Poles in - make sure you have vodka ready.
We don't like abuse either though...

I've seen them for 50 cents, or a dollar, shipping is the concern, i will check when the freak snow storm is over.

  • ok weather + free time = POLO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ok weather + free time = POLO!!!!!!!!!!!

pissing it down+work to do = working :(

  • yea think I may have posted 2 early rubbish

  • It's clearing up again now, but i've got other fish to fry today.

  • Well me and tramp's are heading down In about half an hour hope people will be there.

  • I'll be there at some point. In between the showers!

  • i went down in the rain and no one was there a minute ago... im at andys come and play you losers!

  • i'm tempted but every time i look out the window, ready to go it rains. plus the met rain radar, shows ongoing showers rolling through all arvo :(

  • yeah losers. where was everyone? :) just because it rains a bit..

  • i was there fuckin last week in the cold and dry; and no-one was down!

  • Quite a few good games happened. Rob, Yorgo, Sheep, Seb, Emily, new guy-Ian, Janky, Ian-broil, myself and a few others... Was some good slide/crashes on the wet court as well!

  • yeah it was fun. Good level overall, esp. from new players. We HAVE to fix the gaps so we don't spend half of the game looking for balls.

  • bastards :(

i don't mind chipping in for a bit of cement and old bricks. no one is gonna mind if we plug the gaps i'm sure! who else is up for it? anyone know where we can buy/slvage old bricks? there are a few there already.....

  • the council removed the zip tie stuff last time :(

  • this has been disgust during the polo tournament.....using bricks and cement is a long and reasonably expensive method for a simple job...
we need wood and cable ties...if the council removed it wont cost us much.

  • it might take a while, but i don't think some old bricks and a bag of cement will cost too much?

also, we made polo mallets yesterday and i now have 8. so if anyone needs them and i'm not gonna be there or whatever, my number is in the thread on the private forum...

  • you need bricks, cement, sand(?),water a shovel, a place to mix it...then you need to wait for the cement to set...
the wood option is the cheapest and the quickest option...with similar results

  • Awesome day of polo related antics yesterday. I've a sore wrist and some missing skin and a massive smile to show for it. Wet + Polo is great fun. Great work guys. Hit me with any ideas on blocking the holes, I'm down to help.

yeah i'm not doubting that the wood option is quicker and cheaper, but did they not get taken away before? brick would be a bit more permanent?

i'll look into the brick option costings cuz i really don't think it'd cost that much.....

  • ok so they removed wood for whatever reason but you think they're going to be fine with bricks?

  • How about we approach the council and ask if they can fill the holes, when they say no we could offer to do it for them?

  • ok so they removed wood for whatever reason but you think they're going to be fine with bricks?

true, but bricks are harder to remove so maybe they wouldn't bother?
