Another vote for Toupe - Looks razor sharp but gently tickles the twernt over the bumps.

I have a Toupe on my geared bike and it's great, however when I tried it on my fixed I thought I had a rear puncture everytime I went over a bump in the road, I now have an old Milremo saddle on my fixed that has almost no padding and it's fine, tried a Rolls once on my fixed and my nuts went numb after 15 miles

saddle is a very personal choice. the harder/thinner the better IMO

ah, just realised this thread has a picture of my trusty Copacetic in a previous incarnation. little twinge of nostalgia

It's all about the Fizik Aliante, in my opinion.
But then, I find my Brooks nice and comfy too, so maybe I just have issues. -

I've got a Brooks and an old Ti flite.. both have done me well for a long time. My first ride on the brooks was the Dunwich Dynamo (what was I thinking?) and I didn't get any saddle pain at all.
Except recently I've been getting undercarriage pressure, I think I need to move my saddle forward, but when I'm on the bike I feel like I want to stretch out. I spend most of my time on the hoods, reckon I should try a longer stem and move saddle forwards? Also, keep your Brooks' out of the rain.. Mine got damp, and quickly developed a ridge down the middle. Not really sure what to do about this, cos it seems like stretching the adjustment out a smidgen would only tighten things up and accentuate the ridge, correct?

I'll add a vote to the flite TI.
They've been my favourite saddle for over a decade. My current fixed has a Specialised Alias (narrow) which has done me for 2 years of solid riding with no complaints.
My new build has been kindly donated, cheers Murtle, a Flite as I can no longer by them (Stupid vegan morals).

i have a toupe on my condor italia and i cycled on that without padding for 10 mile commute and it was fine. not sure i could do it everyday. if i get padded-up its even better, v comfy and looks great, but quite expensive though. when i bought the condor it came with their own brand saddle. that was torture, used to give me a numb barse everytime i rode it even after position checks.
i have a wtb rocket on my paddy wagon, its quite hard, looks slightly wrong, but i'm trying to ride through the discomfort to harden my arse up. basically anything with a pressure releif channel is good, cos I find I can perch my sit bones on the edge of the saddle and give my barse a rest. pedaling out of the saddle helps too.

Mash up in the ballbag

i've never had seat-specific ball-bag-issues but just recently i've noticed a rather unpleasant phenomenon that i can only describe as "cock-chaffing".
something about my position my my new bike (genesis flyer), the ball-shrinkingly cold weather and jeans means that after an hour or more in the saddle my jeans start to rub a raw patch at the base old the old feller. just on the top. it's really not pleasant. it go so bad a few weeks back that it drew blood. basically it means i spend a lot of time shifting about wincing and sustaining weirdly unnantural riding positions on those late night slogs home across town. i really can't figure it out. my jeans aren't tight and i've been riding other bikes in them for a year or so without any probs so i can only assume it's a riding position thing.
yesterday i actually tucked my thermal tee into my pants to alleviate the issue (it sort of worked). sometimes i think i'm just too cool.
yup.

mate. sort that out.

Drop some pants with some movement, your fella will no doubt appreciate it. I like riding in tracky b's as I slip and slide all over my brooks.

Genius
+1 recommendation on the charge spoon. I have a brown one, and it feels great with and without padded shorts.
