There's been a few pairs on here recently.
They will 'most likely' be able to squeeze the dropouts onto a 120mm axle.
I used a 120 on my 130 frame for over a year until recently putting the gears back on it.
Never a prob.
There should also be enough room on a 120 axle to add a couple of washers either side to space it out a little.
Metallic lilac you say!? I best get some sparkly varnish for the Witcomb! ;-)

I thought as much with the spacing. This Holdsworth's metallic lilac is....like a half-arsed purple, neither Cadbury's nor proper lilac, I suppose, it's very strange - don't worry the Witcomb has no competition!

Sounds like 126mm
If your friend ends up building, and doesn't want to spend much, how about 36h sjs track hubs (fixed/free, cutouts for classic looks, good bang for buck, can be spaced for 126) laced onto shiny box-section NOS weinmanns from freshtripe (I'm assuming the bike's a 27''er not 700c). Get them laced up all funny by dogsballs, for the price of an orange juice I believe he charges ;)my twopenn'orth

I'm not into organising parts and a wheelbuild, just a ready made wheelset.
Next stop Ebay then!
A work friend of mine has just bought a really old Holdsworth road frame (it has already been resprayed metallic lilac by the previous owner - so there's no chance of this 'ruining a classic frame' rubbish, as it's already happened) - which he would like to build up as a singlespeed/fixed hack.
Not sure exactly how he's measured the dropouts but he said 'they are exactly 5in' which is 125mm. So, needing a nice pair of wheels with silver rims (preferably hi polish) and a flipflop hub (apparently not up for fixed yet but wants both options) to fit, maybe deepish section. Willing to pay £50-£75 but obviously cheaper is better. (No velocity deep v suggestions please though, he doesn't want to spend much money, and I tried to get him into the idea of colours and/or matte gold but he wasn't having much of that either).
Anyone got anything?
