He's awesome. But he doesn't ride fixed so what's he doing here?

'nuff said.
pity that crashed ruined the rest of his tour. the top-down view right at the end of the clip is the best. -

Robbie rides fixed.
I spent most of my younger racing days trying to hold that little bugger's wheel. His ability to find his way from 30th to 3rd wheel with 700m to go, can be directly attributed to his days on the track. (Yes, he did start in BMX) Rob is a very handy track racer, and is certainly no stranger to a fixed wheel.

I didn't actually know if he did or not (pretty good assumption though, most road sprinters at least try).
It was more that there are loads of roadie forums for this kind of thing. -

After 9 hours in the saddle you should have seen the speed I pissed up that road in the British Cyclosportive. I would have murdered McEwan.

His best one was atop the Alpe D'Huez (I think?) right at the end of the stage in (again I think) 2005.

McEwan is one of the few characters in the in the pro pelaton his stage win last year was awsome. It had me sceamimng myself horse at the big screens in Hyde park.
Another great McEwan moment:

Ha-ha! Yeah, remember that, although I've never heard it with sound before.
"Fucking idiots"
Never been his biggest fan but I like his indignant/arrogant attitude when it comes to sprinting. He's nails.
His results speak for themselves.
