I have a blue pair of hi-top Sals now too.
Take hard plastic insole from old cycle shoes.
Separate insole from tread/grip. (leisure shoe/flat soles work best)
Clean insoles.
Line up cleat position in skate shoe.
Cut appropriate size hole in skate shoe.
Liberally apply epoxy/araldite everywhere.
Pack shoe tight with newspaper.
Wait a day.
Shoes are ready, tie your laces bloody tight (if brakeless)
