heh, awesome.
I do worry that some people will actually fall for that and want one

TriBeCa bars also boast the narrowest profile of any comparable fixed-specific alleycat monstertrack Spitzer bar ever, allowing for easy entry and exit out of subway turnstiles, taxi-vans, and condominium storage units.
Awesome.

• #4
im gonna make one
-
• #5
you have too much time
-
• #6
I've got enough offcuts of bars that I could rival it :]
But honestly, steering wheels are where it's at now... -
• #7
i thought it was all about holding the steerer tube
-
• #8
Fuck that. I've dispensed with the stem and bars all together. I now slap the wheel whenever I want to turn in a particular direction.
-
• #9
I'd go for it if they did a riser version.
-
• #10
You can't tell from the picture but they've actually got a 2mm rise.
-
• #11
i have multi-directional spherical wheels.
-
• #12
Even more so if you have your way.
-
• #13
scott, if you don't mind me askin', how is it that you know that lot anyway?
-
• #14
All good. I have faith in you.
-
• #15
and if i pull it off....i'm really tempted by glow in the dark...:)
Do it.

as soon as i can afford to think about building a new bike i'm callin' 'em, always liked what they do. is that frame up top ^^^ pre-paint or lacquered do you think?
-
• #17
it's lacquered, search for tom lamarche's bike
-
• #18
haha, that's awesome. I love that it's Ti.
That frame in the pics looks awesome, too.

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't machine away the middle section, to be honest. It's clearly a waste of metal, being hidden behind the stem clamp and I feel the extra weight really restricts the total capacity for bar spinning. Back to the drawing board BWM!

best bit is powder coat available ...
Until now, fixed gear athletes have been limited to a few bar design choices- each with their own compromises: comfy risers are the choice for rad tricks, but often get hung up on subway doors. Track drops are great for aggressive positioning but are a pain to snake through cafe' fences and lock up...and no barspins!
Feeling this bar-aggravation in our own backyard, and listening to input from our own sponsored riders, we're working on an innovative leap forward in fixed gear bar-ergonomics and functionality.
The Brooklyn Machine Works TriBeCa Bar.
Machined right here in Brooklyn from recycled Soviet 3/2.5 titanium stock, the TriBeCa bar conjures the heart of the NYC fixed gear scene while remaining the lightest fixed-gear specific bar ever produced.
TriBeCa bars also boast the narrowest profile of any comparable fixed-specific alleycat monstertrack Spitzer bar ever, allowing for easy entry and exit out of subway turnstiles, taxi-vans, and condominium storage units.
One Size Fits Most, TriBeCa bars put the rider in the ideal aggresive yet relaxed position on the bike for radgnar traffic cutting. With the decrease in rotational mass compared to your former bars, your bike will practically barspin itself. Watch out Tom!
Available now for pre-order approval, waitlist approximately 12-24 weeks.
Custom Powdercoats available.
