  • Tea.. waste of water better used for coffee or beer. Hmmf!
    Those hubs do look purrty..

  • we should all do secret santa's with a min £100 budget

  • These are good hubs. I had a good look at some in Dublin a few years ago and they are very well made indeed.

  • i'd stick with a pair of dura-ace for that kind of money (and spend the change on some fancy spokes).

  • ut everyone else will have dura ace!

  • If those prices are for F&R I'd be all over that.. if I needed hubs.

  • anyone else think that aluminum lockrings don't seem to be the best idea...

  • steel, to be safe

  • hassanr anyone else think that aluminum lockrings don't seem to be the best idea...

Not Campag - they use alloy lockrings on their C-Record hubs.

  • Does anyone have a contact for this guy. I need some new hubs and really fancy some of these.

    thank you

  • when is ma3k's birthday? :)

  • Hey All
I got in touch with Mack a few months ago and have set up as his distributor, so that we can get a consistent supply of them. He has yet to start producing them using his CNC machine but the great news is that yesterday i received some cool High Flange Green ones - double sided, with 32 holes and also some low flange 32hole single sided black ones. Both 120 axle width. £165 for the pair of high flange, £120 for the low flange.... oh yeah , and before someone says - hang on thats the euro's price, he doesn't do a trade price, so for me to stock em and hold em, i have to add a piddly mark up of about £30 a pair. Still they're cheaper than Phil Woods at £220 ( and Condor told me they were going up in price soon).
    cheers

  • these babies make phil wood hubs look expensive.

  • I know how much y'all hate people rocking up and selling stuff here, but I just want to vouch for David/djbambina. I got my blood red Macks in the post from him t'other day (for scant more than the cost of a single Phil hubg, might I add), and they are possibly the sexiest thing I've ever laid my eyes upon, since that time I stumbled onto that nude bread slicing convention. So thanks David! And even more thank you to the Big Daddy Mack!

Now all I need is some equally sexy rims…

  • we don't mind people selling stuff on here.

really. i buy shit all the time from dudes on here. we like the heads up.

  • Those ano ones look sweet.

As do I. But I also know that if somebody turned up without so much as a hello, and started a thread called "I'm a distributor for Mack hubs" someone would start moaning. At least a little.

Which isn't to say I don't love you all.

Just that you're we're all a touch fickle.

  • Just that you're we're all a touch fickle.

only a tiny, tiny bit :)

all those anodized colours are really tempting me into getting another frame to build up.

no brainer really. it's about manners.

  • I don't understand how they're MORE expensive now he's not making them by hand... does he have to pay the computer a wage?

maybe he has to recoup the the cnc lathe he's making them on? just MAYBE.

  • Hey Guys
Thanks for not bolluxing my message re: MACK Hubs - if ya like 'em' you know where to get 'em.
Oh yeah, Macks CNC machine got damaged during transport and is toasted for now, so he is still hand making them.
see you on the far side!

  • Hi everyone,
I can say a little bit about those hubs, cos i've got a pair of them. I can do it even in one sentence, i wouldn't change them for any others and not because i didn't try others. they are extreamly light, but not too light not to be solid. You shouldn't be worried about alloy lockrings, they do their job. You got 2 years warranty and it means something, especially when you're giving hard time to your fix.
Take a look how much they cost in Denmark: http://fixie-king.dk/oscommerce2/catalog/index.php?cPath=22
the same price as Phill's so don't hesitate to buy them in EURO price which is lower then in Polish currency at this moment. You can also take a look at the seat post which is not available in regular offer: sztyca Mack on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
    cheers

  • Ah, the miracle of search... Thread resurrection time folks...
Who's rolling on these things? What's the quality like? I'm after a black double fixed rear for Spartonius, Bike of Death... Gonna try and stay away from Phils this time, so looking at Goldtech, Profile, Paul Comp or possibly these... Bloody pricey tho', in BLB anyway...
edit: Just seen post #51... File under: Ignore

  • Condor have some too

  • yeah, i was in there monday, looking at them, and they are very, very nice. but at £250ish a pair.............................i'll stick with my goldtecs.
