I don’t post much on this forum but I have been reading it sometime. I live in Manchester so I may be somewhat of an impostor.
Anyway, I am after a bit of advice.
I have a Carpenter Track frame. I rode it for about 9 months (and loved every minute of it) before getting something smaller, but still not right for me. I am looking at either a 52 or 53.
It has been dated as a 1959-1960 frame with what I believe to be Nervex pro series lugs but front lugs seem to be more ornate, perhaps shaped? It also has a wrap round rear seat stay. But the main thing is its way to big for me! It is 57.
I am in two minds as to what to do with it. Do I restore and sell it? Or sell it as it is. It has seen better days. I want it to be ridden (which I know in my hands it wont) but I would love to see the frame back to its glory days before I sell it and I don’t mind putting the money into the project.
One last question, I don’t have any idea of the worth, could anyone shed some light on this?
