they show up as, and work as links, so i can see the page linked to but here i just see: (Edit: it pulls a no show, i see a hyperlink and the url

I got firefox on leopard. Its ok for me.
hmmm. ok you may have to run it using rosetta.
ctrl+ click on firefox in application folder, then go to 'get info'
then check next to 'open using rosetta'or it might just be working now.

Don't use the Vimeo embedding facility (the embed button which leads to the code).
Simply cut and paste the page address.

There is no tag.
You just [url] link to the page that has the video, and if it's a site I know how to handle the video gets embedded.
Caveats:
The embedding works after all items on the page have loaded. So if there are lots of big images on the page there may appear to be a delay in showing the video embedded. -
