They're yours if you want them, but remember they're road bike wheels, with the block of gears at the back
Polo tomorrow? I'll be there from about 1-3, I think...

Oh balls, i got all excited and didn't read it properly!! ha ha!! Sorry, back to the canal they go :-) I've got 3 of those in the back garden already, i can just see the look on my girlfriends face when i walk through the house with yet more bike bits
They're up for grabs still :)
(thank you all the same though Sano)

Well, I threw them in the canal...
so much for the milk of human kindness; let them join the crack needles, shopping trolleys and dead prostitutes...

:( Oh balls i was just going to ask if anyone had any tyres and tubes going spare! Which canal did you throw them in? ;)

it was a metaphorical canal. They were left in the bin shed of our building with a 'take me' sign...
I actually have an old set of tyres that were given to me by Hael, who said they're terrible. They look like pretty thick rubber, but I took his word for it and changed them out right away. Yours if you want them. I can probably dig up a set of patched tubes, if you like?

Are they any good, i mean grip etc? Why didn't hael like them? just need them for a hack bike.

Sano, I know it's some time back, but are those road wheels still hanging about? Appreciate it if you'd let me know. Cheers.
I've got an old set of 700c wheels that need a home - don't get too excited, they're from an old road bike, so are NOT fixed.
The rear is a mavic open 4 on a shimano 600 low flange hub, a couple of spokes are missing, but comes with gear block
The front has a sticker that is half ripped off that says 'GTX' and the low flange hub says 'Rival sealed' on it - no idea what they are, really
There's tyres and tube, too, which are 'OK' (read: a bit knackered, but will last a while)...
Now, while I'm not exactly selling the benefits of these wheels, they're FREE to a good home. At worst, there's a back up/temporary front wheel there, at best you could remove the rear block and put in one of these to turn a road bike into a fixed wheel - although at £50, that might be more trouble then they're worth.
Either way, I want shot of them, they're cluttering up my flat. If you want them, let me know - I'll be at polo tomorrow and can bring them with me.
If not, I'll just chuck them in the canal with the dead prostitutes and smack needles...
