And I heard there was joint shop in the offing with Stussy, Foot Patrol and someone else so I am sure there will be some news on that soon.

Fakes on ebay are a pest yeah, but usually there are ways to find out which are real and which aren't.
I've got a pair of what the dunks that I might put on ebay in a few months; there are so many fakes of those around, but they're easy to spot... if you know what to look for. -

I was on the Crooked Board, but mainly spent time on sneakerfreaker as I was in aus at the time.
Shame about the whole thing really but if companies are going to milk it it will eventually burst. So I guess this means the secondhand market will be flooded with deadstock stuff and prices will plummet.
Thought my Tiff Dunks would be a nice nest egg at some point. Pah. -

Interesting to see people blame Bape for the death of streetwear (which I used to buy 'til a coupla years ago and still wear quite a bit) when the sneaker companies also played a huge part with loads of pointless and boring Tier 0, Hyperstrike and collab releases... It's hilarious that people stocked up on shoes, high on hype with $$$ in their eyes, that they can't get rid of now... Rock 'em, don't stock 'em! ;)
My 2 cents...
And yeah, sad about Bonds, FP and Slammin'... :( -

quite, I only check in when i see something pop up on RS feed that catches my eye. I do maintain alot of respect for Unorthodox etc and what they created with CT though. Some of the colab stuff they did with NB was fantastic as well. Now CLAW is working with adidas at least there is some hope.

never was I to be found queing down st annes ct for some Hyperstrike balls. For me selling my trainers is about clearing out some space...if i lived in a large flat with plenty of storage id just sit on them and be quite happy.@Todd yeah i was there on friday mate Its were i go if i need to kill some time when im waiting to meet someone...some free art, a comfy seat, the papers and a coffee...were you there for a concert?
I expected it to be dead but it was totally rammed. -

You telling me Gimme 5 are opening a one floor multi-brand store in Piccadilly, for all their entities? ;-)
PeterD:I was there to see the Orphanage. I was with my girlfriend outside and saw you walking down toward the ponds and recognized the bike. I knew it must be yourself!
Who said streetwear was dead? Keep your eyes out....here comes TONITE! ;-).....again!

The so-called Sneaker Culture has been exploited and commercialized so hard by certain brands that it will never go back to what is was. Nothing excites me anymore.. eBay prices for limited shoes has dropped heavily over the past year. Sign of the times- nobody cares.

Too true. Nike I-D is sapping all the remaining last few bits of excitement until it all self combusts. Even vintage isn't what it was as there's been several re-releases along the way.
These big companies deserve to struggle.
There's no room for limited stuff anymore...Something will give. They will be back.

so i was all about air max 1s and 90s until i started riding properly, then i realised clips, pedals and waffle soles are not good friends!
now its all blazers or vans. but NOT the zoom blazers. I hate the fact good classics get messed with so much. And those lady blazers made with lace and upholstery fabrics. Urgh it makes me angry. Girls have a really hard time if they care about trainers (vans help out abit but still). I'm lucky cos im a 6 though. It's like trainers for girls instead of girls sized trainers. -

nike did start sending making some Am1's in smaller ladies sizes our way in the last year or so but they get snapped up quick! blazers? never gave them a trt - i guess the old patchy denim blazers need to be broken out the box!

I heard Foot patrol will be closing this weekend if they get rid of enough stock, big sale so get down there.
I have that gold leather Nike book on my desk in perfect condition if any trainer peeps are interested. I think it used to go for a good few hundred.
