I'm in the process of converting my bike to a SS/fixed and waiting for the guy at Kiwi cycles to give me a call but seems he is really busy. Can anyone recommend anywhere or anyone who could undertake a bit of an over haul job. pref around Hackney way? Thanks

thanks. as much as i would love to do it all myself I think it best to get someone who knows what they are doing on to it firstly, and then perhaps I can learn more and get a bit of confidence in carrying out repairs myself.

Good call, but you'd be surprised how quickly you can learn. And it will save you money...

6 years of bike shop experience, 2 and a half as a full time mechanic.

I will be starting at cycle surgery within the next week or so, as far as i am aware they have shop tools, so ill be keeping my own tool chest at home.

All you would have to do is pop the bike along, i can run through with some ideas for it, you can order the parts and then can spend a sunday morning (pre polo) fitting them and getting you started.

Holy moly friendly! I should have come here first and looked into building something myself. Meh. I've still got to put something together for my gf, so maybe I'll take advantage of the experience here and that way I can screw up her bike rather than my own.

man, i have been exploding downwards for a few days now.
It was either the buffet or the curry i made myself the night before. Which ever it was, it didn't take to me too well.
