spray paint?

Er, yeah, probably best to use the same car paint you're going to use on the aerospoke. You can get decent spokes from pretty much any bike shop. I got a bunch of DT Swiss competition (i think) spokes from Cyclesurgery. Make sure you get brass nipples (chuckle)

CyclesGoff Honestly it would look beautiful on my new build.
I am not so sure, you may be dangerously closer to getting a dose of 'samey-samey' disease, you know where someone has colour matched every component.
If done badly it can often look as though you have simply rattle canned the wheels and spokes at the same time without bothering to mask anything - although it might look great !

My tip: spray the spokes before you build the wheel then leave the nipples silver. Haha nipples.

+1 for tip-ex
it's good for painting walls too. dizziness inducing though... -

Exactly what I thought too, leave the nipples silver/black or an anodized colour - so you avoid the 'I sprayed this in my back yard all by myself and I even did the tyres while I was at it' look.

Never spray tires. I melted one trying to spray it silver. Luckily I did it on a worn out tire to test first. High five to me.

so thats a tyre/tire too, asm?
Can some one please tell me which is correct?

Halo have track wheelset coming soon; white flip flop hubs and rims but black spokes. £74 front and £76 rear.

Okay thanks Guys, think I'll check out the CN place, Rich at wheelbuilder feels that white spokes wouldn't generally be up to scratch, but they're not for competition purposes, still, I don't want a buckled wheel either, style over function never did add up. Am not too keen to spray anything on my bike, will just scratch and flake off surely, leaving me looking like the Guy who sprayed the A-team red flash onto his leyland van.

If it flakes or scratches you have done it wrong.
Clean - sand - primer - sand - paint - sand - clearcoat - let it harden for week or so = job done.

IF you go down the spray can route make sure you rub the spokes down a bit to give the paint something to key into. Prime them then paint them what ever colour. Make sure you do several coats and leave them to dry preferably for a week so allow the paint to harden. Even then I am not convinced that they would not scratch when being built / destressed.

sand the spokes, lace up, masking tape and then spray
will it work? - no idea :D -

btw TIRE - thats proper correct in brit eng.
Okay I'm sure the tech quality may not be up there with the silver variety (or maybe I'm wrong) but white spokes with a 700c white deep V. Honestly it would look beautiful on my new build. We know about the black ones, but where can one find quality white spokes for a wheel build in Londres ? Let's forget about the powder coating query and answers this time, I think, something more pactical would be preferred. Gentleman and other varieties, I bow down to the informed.
