    cheers

here's a photo of another stubby on my bike:

  • Very nice. Haven't got the cash right now but would definitely consider getting one of these at some point.

  • Does this attach where the back brake would normally be?

  • Does the bridge have to be drilled for a brake for it to fit? (Mine isn't)

  • docus Does the bridge have to be drilled for a brake for it to fit? (Mine isn't)

    Think so

Damn, mine isnt either, would have had that off yours hands if not...

  • that really is a thing of beauty!

  • Marvelous!!

  • I'm gonna make my own one..

  • that looks really nice :)

shame it won't fit my frame, i'd have it otherwise :(

  • does it work with a brake there ?

  • i wouldn't say so.... since the guard goes in the brake hole. where would you mount the brake?

  • Yeah it would, you'd just need a longer allen key bolt to accommodate the extra width of the brake. :)

  • eeehhhh i wouldn't say so.... since the guard goes in the brake hole. where would you mount the brake?

    Normal mudgard?

  • doesn't a normal mudguard have a metal tab which goes behind the frame, so you have metal tab, then frame, then brake, then top of the bolt which goes all the way through?

this mudguard goes in front of the frame - where the brake would be - from what i can see in the pics. the description on the web site says "ever wondered what to do with that hole where your brake used to be?" too.

  • hey,
    sorry for the late reply
the mudguard is no wsold (cheers)
it fits on the whole (for the brake) of the seatstays bridge
i'm not sure it would fit with a brake though

  • asm Yeah it would, you'd just need a longer allen key bolt to accommodate the extra width of the brake. :)

was wondering if there was deliberate clearance etc given for doing that

    but

[cite]"ever wondered what to do with that hole where your brake used to be?"

    would suggest it doesnt lol

  • You'd be able to fit it with a longer allen key bolt, i reckon. But fast boy fenders have proper clip on ones as well. Theyre lush, i was tempted by this one i must say.

  • i have one,

fits on a bike with a bolt, with a brake or with out a bolt (c-clip)

    i love it

  • wooden mudguards ... phew bikesnob'd have a field day with those bad boys, if he/she aint already!

  • You can get these from Denmark - both in wood and metal. Click on the pic.

  • between 50 and 100 quid.
    before postage, and tax.

Looks exactly the same to me just use the brake instead of the supplied bolt

"ever wondered what to do with that hole where your brake used to be?"

In no does that suggest that you can't use a brake with the mudgard, it sugestest to me that you need the frame drilled for a rear brake to it.

  • tilover i have one,

fits on a bike with a bolt, with a brake or with out a bolt (c-clip)

    i love it

I've got one too, it's a lovely thing even tho' it doesn't look quite right on either of my bikes... It does however keep my arse dry, which is the important thing... ;)

  • damn that is lovely, i just order some raceblades last night after a particularly wet backside incident last night bugger, I want one of them now!
