i ran from the police, they chased me on their pushbikes with the sirens blaring.
eventually, i realized they probably thought i was a terrorist and they might call for backup and gun me down so i stopped.
they let me go after realizing i wasn't a terrorist and i just didn't want to get the red-light fine.
