Does that mean you went to see The Sonics? I think they played The Forum yesterday and are playing Sunday too.

Yeah, sad to say they were pretty shit... Made the trip to see them in NY last Year and they were GREAT there... Gerry still sounds amazing, fantastic drumming but the sound and some 'interesting' choices of material spoiled it for me...

Yeah, always the danger of old bands getting back together. I was really tempted by that gig but went to see the Black Keys instead - bumped into Brendan (Skoota). They were amazing and it was the best venue I've been to. Kinda hoped they'd cover 'Have love...' but no dice.

Went to see Black Francis a few weeks ago and it was a similar story, but I think he just about carried it off...Nostalgia may have clouded my judgment tho.

Nostalgia is a very dangerous drug, I don't often listen to new music only cuz my brain's fuzzed with all the old stuff I'm catchin' up with... Most new music is rubbish tho'... There, I've said it... ;)
