• I was gonna post that same image!? Spooky...

• from the people that brought you this:

it's flashier space-age cousin from the big city:

though I suppose it has a slightly better chance of working in carbon.

I must say, it doesn't look much like a Pentax K1000 to me (check out the image url).

• teenslain
Pistanator

I think hope it's a polo bike. In which case it's kinda awesome. I like the mile of clearance between both wheels and the frame.

• hael
Brooklyn Jack Crank Biggest shame ever. There's a Super Record 6speed gruppo weeping somewhere right now.

Im sure this guy is on the forum, hes Belgian and bought the frame and forks only for something silly like 70 euros.
Ex-f'in-actly. 50 euros for frame, fork, headset, (cinelli) stem, seatpost, saddle and cranks. It even had red look-pedals. I don't see what's wrong about it, I specially left all braze-ons on it so it can still be ridden geared some day. This frame was sitting on a website for months with no buyer so I thinkI actually saved it.
Mind you, you're free to buy it from me for 500 quid and put your precious groupo on it ;)
"when things go wrong" tssss...

• personally dont see anything wrong with the bike

• colour matching is gay

it looks like st. george was sick on it

• 650 front wheels are gay.

• glow colour matching is gay

it looks like st. george was sick on it

true, it should have had one lime green and one orange deep v.
actually st.juttemis was sick on it!

• Nicholas http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2008/mar/3/terencepeak_netscape.htm

This bike makes me cry.

i am no longer having a good day. dont let jack see that, people will die, he tells you where the campy grouppo is sitting and crying!

• danger joel 650 front wheels are gay.

indeed they are, i ain't got one. and there not as gay as jumping "sweet" 5 sets on road frames

Well at least put some decent pedals on it...

• And what's those two protrusions on the top-tube?

• internal brake cable routing

• So, like, where the cable should go for the rear brake? As in it should have a rear brake?
Just like there's that thing sticking out from the seat-tube where the front derailleur should go? Oh, and there's that thing hanging off the rear drop-out where the rear derailleur should go?

• oh i see what you're getting at. i'm not too perceptive this time of night ;)

• Tis alright.
I'm with Jack on this one (obviously), there is just a level at which a purpose built, pedigree road speed-machine should not be stripped of it's armour and made into a fixed-wheel.
Let it be free!!

• Now that would make one hell of a polo bike!

• trampsparadise Now that would make one hell of a polo bike!
I agree 100%. Apparently, it's an ex circus bike from Warsaw.

There are decent pedals on it now. Those were temporary.

You know what? This whole "a racing bike shouldn't be a fixed gear" thing pisses me of.
A track bike shouldn't be on the streets, so hey presto, no one can ride fixed gear on the streets.
So are you telling me all cyclists who train with fixed gears (on their road bikes) during the winter are commiting crimes against your rules of 'proper use'? Now I know why Frank VDB tried to commit suicide!

But again, if you feel so strongly about it, buy the frame off me and build it up the way it 'should' be.
Until then, I'm going to ride it in all its fixed gear colour-matched glory and pretend it's the official bike of the White Stripes. ;)
And you know what? The front brake's a Shimano! Oooooh, the Blasphemy!
