Bit too Italian for me. I like my Japanese stuff. Black, silver, no flair, efficient, purposeful.
Seriously though, you can get SPD shoes that look like skate shoes. I like MTB SPD shoes because you can walk in them and don't lose too much efficiency.
Anyway, I have no qualms about wearing them anywhere. I WANT people to know I ride a bike."Hello Mr President. Why yes, these are the new carbon Specialized shoes, how nice of you to notice."

I'm properly rolling on my new Geoff Roberts just waiting for my bloody Timbuk2 message bag), I riding it as a single speed at the mo as Brixton guys said get used to that before thnking about going fixie..
I'm thinking though that I might change it from drop handle bars later as I rode a flat (well they were bent) which was more comfortable for my riding style and journey across London.
I don't know anything about what are cool bars ad style though..any thoughts?

ah, I saw that monster of a roberts when I was in Brixton Cycles last week, and you rang up at the same time. I would need stilts to even reach the pedals on that thing. Did they manage to shift the seat post for you? They quoted a whopping amount to shift one for me...

Hi Snowy,
That was my bad boy. Yeah they managed to shift the seat post, whacked on a Botranger rear tyre and I've been flying around town on it since. Absolutely unbelievable ride and I find myself cycle ridiculous roundabout routes in London without even thinking about it. I'm itching to do some customisations on it now though. I didn't fixie it though still thinking about it, but definitely wanna change pedals & get straps (thought about cleats, got a lovely old pair of Marretto shoes, but I work freelance and am in different offices almost every day so convenience of wearing one set of trainers can't be beat) and also I ride mainly upright through town so am thinking of either changing the handle bars thoughs ain't got a clue so just posting on the forum now.Just wish the bloody sun would come out and play. I've been soaked twice this week alone!
