babydinotrackboy The track actualy has a special quick drying surface that was sticky enough when first laid that you could race in the rain!
Two years ago it rained all morning then was sudenly sunny in the afternoon and the event still went ahead so they wont cancel it unless it rains past 2/3pm.
it used to have such a surface....I've raced and trained in the rain many times...however years of steam cleaning have "polished" it...it can dry out quite quickly....it can also dry out incredibly slowly....is there's a stiff breeze, some sun or warmish air it can dry out in 4. mins...if it's cold and still it takes hours and if there's even there's a small shower you start the wait all over again....wish I could be there and good luck !
