do they do discounts on multiple frames? or, perhaps, only if they're the same colour?? reason i'm asking is i and a friend have 3-4 frames we may do next week, so if others are also wanting to get frames done, perhaps we could get a group discount.
thoughts - pj especially, i guess ;-)

i want to get frame done. however, i have to get FUCKING RIGHT SIDE of bottom FUCKING bracket out.
has destroyed chisel, also broken tool at AW Cycles.

I am picking my frame up tomorrow, they were really helpful.
Is there website.

how much was it?

It is 45 for just the paint I think, or 60 including a clear coat of some sort. Steve told me this doesn't necessarily help with durability, but it does look much nicer.

Oooh, I had the same problem resulting in the frame sitting under my desk for weeks. I took it into Cavendish Cycles and there massive bike mechanic wrestled it out with a bike wrench.

i know; i meant to edit it to say that clearly it was worth it in that case.
HOWEVER...
the carlton cost buttons. i plan to get it sprayed so it looks nice, then lugline it myself, then build it up really cheap.
is that so bad?

i recommend using the heatgun to expand the bb shell and then clasicc bb tool or hammer and screwdriver........for the bb cup removal that is...
-
• #17
Have you tried the homemade Sheldon Brown fixed cup removal tool? It does actually work. We just used one here at work to remove a stuck cup on an old Peugeot.
If you're anywhere near Farringdon, we still have the tool in the office...

• #18
can i borrow it? i thought about making one myself...
-

Should be ok - need it back pretty pronto though as it's not mine. Alternatively, bring the fucker here and we'll give it a go.

Got my frame back from the guys today, really nice job and well worth the money. When I have it built up I will post some pictures. The only annoying thing about picking my frame up today was the terrible weather and the stabbing which had closed a road in hackney, took hours to get back on the bus!

people always get stabbed/ jump under tubes/ die horribly at really inappropriate times.
it's so incredibly inconsiderate.

Exactly what I thought, think I will write to Ken and complain.

i want to get a rusty old carlton shot blasted, powder coated and sprayed.
