The only cycle path I use in London is contra-flow at Vauxhall X to avoid that hellish multi-lane speedway out front of the bus station.
Sometimes you wait a bit longer at the lights but then you can ride down Goding street, illegal right turn into embankment and happily on your way.
I try to get to work as stress-free as possible.
