Skullhead what about queen sqaure, bloomsbury? not really a through-road, lots of space with benches to hang, pubs near, not particularly residential...

It is oblong, not curved, though.

Not as good as Emirates by the sounds, but might be worth considering (central = inclusive?!)

(OK OK, I live one street away so I am biased).

Whenever I tinker my bike I generally go and do fast laps of Queen's Sqaure to make sure everything is tightened up nicely. So basically - I know the racing line better than any of you :-)

Emirates sounds brilliant.
