  • Lo All,

After reading the FGSS party invite email I didn't realise how much it cost to host and run our forum. The party will generate some revenue but VB came up with some good uses for FGSS money if there happened to be any left over.

After looking at the rollapaluza shirts and thinking most people will buy them because; a) there good looking and b) it raises money for the rollapaluza guys, so I was thinking we have good designers lurking in the darkness why not get some hoodies/t's printed up then we get nice shirts and hoodies and VB can eat more than beans n toast and put the heating on! ;)

    other ideas welcome

  • I think a low-key zipped hoody is the way forward, perhaps with this design on the front:
    ?
{EDIT} maybe just the bike part as well...
I love that design, it is truly awesome.

  • I love the lockring roundell.

  • I'd buy one :)

  • andrewleitch86 I love the lockring roundell.

    • another 1
  • Too colourful for moi..

  • not sure about the bike/map though.

  • A few things have worked for me in similar scenarios in the past:

    • Google ads
    • Product sales (maybe a fg or ss kit for traditional racers / velocity deep v sets would sell pretty well) - should be ecomm
    • Featured banner ads from bike shops / events
    • Cheaper hosting - I dont know your requirements obviously, but I know some cheap and decent hosts.
    • Donations could be promoted more - works much better if people get a link under their username saying they've paid
  • Oh and hi! That was my first post I fink.....

  • go nuts - crayons not included!

  • how about making those gaffer tape wallets ;)

  • or releasing a single....
speaking of which- anyone with a band should check out We7.

I love that design too, but it needs cranks a la the Waterloo and City line.

  • could even have 'restricted service' or 'replacement bus service' chain.

  • And the saddle could be flipped round horizontally...

  • tshirts might sell better, simply cos they are cheaper. meh, id probably still buy either, i like that tube map design!

  • ahh, but hoodies are so much more useful, esp hipster zips.

Yeah hoodies get you a higher score at hipster bingo.

  • I'd buy a T-shirt. Maybe not a hoodie though unless it was super awesome. Easier to get good margins on T-shirts also.

  • or something along these lines. maybe.

  • i'd def go for a t shirt, but not a hoodie, like to keep hoodies plain.

  • What about a regular jumble? Save us from all this pissing about posting things... sell, buy, swaps even?

  • how does a jumble raise money for server?

  • pay for entry
