Unlike Anti-Aussie Smiffy I actually have experience with Velocity Fusion rims. I raced on them for at least 2 years (hand-built 32h on American Classic hubs and another set built on Ultegra 32h hubs).
They were ridden hard in multiple weekly crits and I was heavier then, crashed a few times and came good with a simple true. At least one crash I remember well being a crit in my home suburb and it made the paper! :)
I continued racing on the day but then had a month off the bike with internal damage. The wheels were re-trued by Mick and rolled true once again. In Oz Velocity is a slightly cheaper and home-grown option compared to Mavic.
Both companies make great rims. Aerohead are too light (for me).
