At least the Rubino Pro is a half decent tyre.

how do those drop outs work
-
• #1939
There are no track ends on the frame yet.. they are bolt-on ones.. let me find a pic..
See?
-
• #1940
are they bolt on to make the frame in one piece ... cant see other reason other than easy to replace?
-
• #1941
They could make the dropouts from carbon but it doesn't like clamping forces and the track nuts would chew the hell out of it fast. Not a good idea.
The big steel dropouts are replaceable in the event of being bent or from the repeated crushing under track nuts. -

Screw MASH... this is where it's at.
Perhaps the very definition of civilised transport and certainly how I intend to spend this summer.

ahh all is clear, but i don't see the holes in his that would allow that, unless its taped or yet to be drilled.

I think it's a good idea and have been thinking about something similar for the next bike I get. Steel frame, but replaceable ends.

velocity boy I think it's a good idea and have been thinking about something similar for the next bike I get. Steel frame, but replaceable ends.
Why? I mean, how many people on here have trashed their ends? I guess it would be nice, especially on alu frame, to be able to swap out a chewed track end but I'd just buy a new bike :)
