I Might Just Be Being Paranoid

but was riding along holloway road earlier and rode over something stuck in the road which caused an instant flat with quite a loud bang. the instant this happened a group of pikey kids sprang from around the corner and started towards me, i thought fuck this and chucked my bike on shoulder and darted through the traffic to the other side and made towards a police car. they were still on the other side looking at me but didnt follow. i made my way to cycle surgery which was quite close for a new tube and whatever it was in the road went through both sides of the tube.
i'm thinking of a new tv show crooks camera action where thieving gits use mini stingers in front of bikes whilst their mates film the subsequent beating/robbery on mobile phones, narrated by alistair stewart obviously.

I think you are probably right... Thee was a story on here a while ago about some kids doing similar at a road just of Gray's Inn. It's a good idea if you want to nick bikes.

im just trying to get my head around how this might work, they would need something that points up and they would need lots of them spread out around the area as you might not hit it if there was just one. it needs to be small enough that you don't notice, or don't think about it, so that rules out crows feet.
