chris crash 90% of ADD/ ADHD cases are miss diagnosed. Its better to treat those that are real with diet and lifestyle changes. Allot of people have no idea how to raise a child, and blaming some one else is easier then looking at your self. Kids dont pay attention in school because it has no meaning to their lives.

sorry mate, you can go to your lectures and theorize about this stuff as much as you want, but it is REAL I LIVED WITH IT FOR 10 YEARS.

i start to get annoyed on behalf of my parents and my little brother when people start to say it isn't a real condition or it's down to bad parenting.

i may not see eye to eye with my olds about a lot of things, but with the benefit of retrospect and a more adult angle on the world, i can see that my parents were good parents. we might not have had a lot of money growing up and my mum shopped at tradex, but they always had as much time for us as we needed, and they cooked us healthy meals. we didn't eat junk food, hell my parent's couldn't afford it. so it wasn't down to diet or bad parenting at all, at least not in this case.

ritalin isn't a be all and end all cure, and it has plenty of bad things associated with it too.. but all i know is that without my brother taking it my mother would've had a nervous breakdown.

i'm not saying that there isn't any truth to your words, it is over used as a diagnosis, and (especially in america) it seems like we choose to just dope our kids up instead of trying to find the route of the problem. and yes and i'm sure a bad diet does fuck kids up etc etc...

but when you try and insinuate that ADHD doesn't even exist? that annoys the fuck out of me, and i'm sure it would get the backs of a lot a of people who've had to live with it too.

anyways, bike bike blah blah didn't come on here to talk about ADHD.
