Wanted: Nitto Pursuit Bars

glow i've heard they're flexy, my friends bike (no collision, they just snapped):

This sort of thing puts the fear into me big time, especially since my mate's old drops snapped and he ended up with half the flesh on his knee painted in a trail up the road.

I heard someone say you're supposed to replace Alu bars every couple of years to avoid failures - is this bollocks? Mine are proper old and a bit bent and I'm starting to get the shakes...
