Do All Fixed Hubs Take Spacers for Use with 126mm Spaced Dropouts?

hi,

i have an old frame with a 126mm OLN. i saw this wheelset on ebay:

they have Suzue Large Flange hubs. This may not be enough information to go on but does anyone know if they will take spacers so i can use them on my bike?
Or in general does anyone have advice on the best track hubs that can be used on 126mm with spacers?

just squeeze the rear end in by hand, gently ;), if it is a cheap frame

you can space those out.

3mm washer on each side

steel, titanium, frames no problem for 5-6 mm to squeeze
alu, carbon better use with washers (inox are better)

I spaced a 126mm to fit a 120 hub last night!

I used spacers from the oddments box from my local bike shop (probably free if you've got a good shop and you ask nicely).

You need to something similar. Do you know what the chainline at the BB is yet?

yeah its aluminium (Alan frame from the late 70s i think) so not sure squeezing it in would be a great idea. I know some track hubs can be used with washers to provide a snug fit without squeezing (maybe they all can, dunno?). Sounds like i should be OK with those Suzues on ebay according to RPM so reckon i will go with them. As for the chainline i have no idea, its an old Campag Record b/b and crankset, i have no idea how i could reliably measure it with a tape so think i will just bite the bullet and deal with the chainline problem when i come to it.

Oh yeah and had my first blast on a fixie round Richmond park today on my mate's bike. Scared the shit out of me when i started going downhill and spinning like mad but a good laugh on the mini uphills that Richmond park gives you.

yeah, washers should be fine if it's only a few mm.
best way is to put them in between the cone and the locknut.
if you end up with chainline problem, there's loads of remedies (look on sheldon brown). i've got a miche primato bb, which'll let you adjust it a couple of mm in either direction.
