• from a journalistic standpoint, there's hardly the same moral imperative to ensure that a feature in the weekend supplement is as accurate and balanced as a front-page news article should be. and i get why a last-minute letter about the brakes/no brakes debate would be ignored; i'm sure there are bigger fires to fight when you're on deadline. but this is rather poor journalism... poorly researched, over-sensationalised, pointless and pretty dull reading to boot. it's hard to defend it as an article. i think that ultimately, it's a throw-away piece that nobody will take much notice of...
