velocity boy
fatboyralph she did the shuffle forwards, then backwards, then BANG.
You all know you have to aim very clearly way behind them right? Peds understand and continue walking when you aim behind them. Aim at them or in front, and the buggers dither all over the place and you'll end up hitting the startled fools.
I don't know about this, I always find holding the line helps (if they've seen you) there's not always room to aim a long way behind, if you aim behind them, they then step back, then you adjust to go in front and they step forward realising you were originally planning to go behind them, hence the funky chicken begins and you end up having to slow to an almost stop.
I find aiming straight at where you want to go (usually straight at them) gives them time to make their mind up about which way to go.
anyway, it's not an exact science and circumstances and individuals are very changeable.
