looked at the forecast before heading off cos i was contemplating on goin by tube as meeting the mrs and some mates for diner this evening. weather looked alright. but as soon as i stepped out of the house...it poured down. i said fck it, its only one of them 2min bursts. no, i was drenched after fckn 5min of riding.
then, along battersea park road (after latchmere) a pedestrian comes across me without looking. i was going about 30-35kph, i yelled out as i was swerving right and attempted to stop, she did the shuffle forwards, then backwards, then BANG. i bounced off her. i went flying off the bike. right knee first to the ground. got up to see the drop on my handlebar bent in, bartape fcked, saddle scraped and front wheel facing the opposite way as my bars. front wheel is a bit wobbly now.
she came off bit worse, head bleeding and couldnt stand on her own. others walked her to a nearby gp. kinda worried for her then. but FCK...ive had a shower and my knee is still bleeding, now im feeling some pain in other parts, my palms are hurting and back bit painful...are cyclists really that invisible!??! i was wearing bright red waterproof and front lights blinking for fck sake
