Using arup's measurements and 599.5 ERD for the rims spocalc gives near enough 290mm front & back - same as you got, right? I vote for 288mm.
dale - are your reckonings based on 36H wheels? those extra spokes means 4mm shorter. Same thing had me confused for ages remember!
