i put my hand over my daughters eyes si she didn't have to see it

  • MrSmith bingo!

    hipster bingo!

i have star tattoos, sometimes wear the terrier hat (as we call in in yorkshire, cabbie hat down here apprently) and wear vans.

3 out of 25. does that make me a hipstar?

  • 2 out of 25. I think we are safe from hipsterism sheepy.

F*ck, I'm such a hypocrite. ummmm, Trixie makes bicycle riding more inclusive to women?!?! Just like Affirmative Action, innit. Aw f*ck, yep, I guess you can come. Oh no, wait, we just have to start an all-boys group and then it's fair. Um ok.

The Bottom Bracket Boys will meet every Tuesday night now too. You'll have to figure out when and where unless I draw on a beard and stuff my trousers.

the rest of the bike world is sort of a boys club so having space for the girls is inclusive

  • [quote]roxy Just to be all know-it-all-y loads of alley cats have been organised by non-messengers, non-fakengers even! Dating all the way back to the good old days of the 1980's.

Well yes, that is the whole point of Trixie's.

    The Bottom Bracket Boys

Hahahahahahahahahaha! Sounds like a musical quartet from the 30s :-) Who's up for startina band?

  • you have to wear straw boater hats with ribbons on...

  • roxy
Well yes, that is the whole point of Trixie's.

i live with 2 girls who both ride free wheel.. they are ripe for converting to fixed and thus trixie's chicks... i will try and bring them to bike polo sometime or something....

  • yes do! Carlito Sway brought us a girl as a present last tuesday. I think we scared her off. Apparently she just wanted to stop by with carlitos, we thought she was coming to play, we had a mallet in her hands before she was able to say 'nice to meet you!' ...hmm, I hope she comes back.

edit In fact I think this coming Tuesday we're going to have a couple of newbies so it'd be a great time for them to come. Don't have to be fixed to come and we have one maybe two spare polo bikes if they want to try it out.

  • ok i shall invite them on your behalf. when and where shall i tell them to be? there might be a third, one of my flatmates has a female friend who rides too and she's round here all the time......

  • MrSmith bingo!

    hipster bingo!

On any given day i score about 25. Yes that's right i'm asian, male, female and i have a white boy affro. On a serious note i think my shiny silver cosmonaut jacket counts for about 15-20 points. It matches my damn bike. :(

  • Rorschach which college are you in/what are you studying? Saint martins Fine art over here. Wanna know if i can put a name to a charing cross road bike.

  • Registration at 7pm Cochrane theatre (Central st martins) southampton row

  • Is this the first 'for profit' alleycat organised in London? Usually all the money goes to the prizes and organisers expenses right?

  • nope. lots of races are held to help out injured courriers

  • well it sounds like a hoot. apart from its in london and i havent got a fecking clue where things are, and its at 7pm so i have no chance of getting up there on the train till after 7 and that will take aaages. maybe nextime....

  • Lewis... Lewes as in East Sussex?
I work in Forest Row.. havent seen many fixed riders around these parts

  • yeah, actually in Ringmer, but its a nickname thats stuck...

not seen any others on the roads apart from in Brighton, seems to be a growing interest and nearly every older roadie i come across likes to swap stories of when they used to ride fixed
