• Its most likely been scraped under a vehicle on the road. Too much damage to be hit by a trailer whilst chained up, and that kerb bollard would have done its job. Lock looks untouched, so must have been locked post-accident. Lets hope the riders okay. Having no front brake wont help any claims.

• velocity boy
TheBrick(Tommy) That looks horrific. Hope it whoever it is has not been hurt badly (or at all ideally).

Maybe this? http://www.movingtargetzine.com/forum/discussion/662/?Focus=5202#Comment_5202

The locations are about 1.5 miles out.

I'm really hoping this was an accident that happened to a bike, not to a person.
Point did not really make a not of the locations.

• xroads Having no front brake wont help any claims.

why on earth would you drag this shit up! next you'll say he was RLJ-ing!

• actually, it won't be a problem with iro. insurance may be a bit different, but iro don't care.

• That bike has been under a vehicle.

Looks like the front wheel was run over whilst pointed at right angles to the bike. I guess you have to hope that who ever it was that was on it (IYSWIM) wasn't on it or near it when it got mashed.

• Def not the same guy as reported over at MT, tho.

• @Todd - I wouldn't call it the Angel though. It's strictly Essex Rd aka Packington/Popham territory.

True.
It get's much quieter up that end and is a different area. Crime seems to spread all the way up to Angel though.
Also..barnsbury (liverpool road) and surrounding areas are as equally dangerous...though there's some amazing houses £££ around too.
I've seen gangs carrying tools especially for bike theft. Seen a white van (stopped by police) full of bikes! Kids running down the road with saddle and a wheel...
Nuts!

• lol. Essex Road, what a laugh! I had a group of about 15 little shits chasing after me a year or so ago. They came riding towards me on the wrong side of the road. One of them was actually wheeling ride at me. I swerved past them called them all a bunch of little cnuts. Next thing I knew. Had a whole posse chasing me home down Englefield Road. Lucky I'm quick otherwise I would have been in serious shit. Yep best to watch out round there.

• that bike is fucked up

• Buffalo Bill That bike has been under a vehicle.

my thoughts too.

hope the rider is OK

• F _ _ _
hope the rider is ok
i have never seen a bike in that kind of condition before

• any iotas who it was yet or wtf happened??

• i dunno it might be alright with a bit of a polish.

• Superprecise i dunno it might be alright with a bit of a polish.

don't think a polish alone will do it...
might need a bit of gaffa tape as well.
and what does it have to do with poland anyway?

• Buffalo Bill Def not the same guy as reported over at MT, tho.

what happened to erffi? didn't know him well but worked with him at dest.

• Even the fucking bb/crank arm has snapped off!

Hopefully the rider is ok. The only thing he will be able to recover from that disaster is the Thompson Stem.

• i recon you could rescue the goldtec rear.

• I went past this on the way home and had a very good look at it.
It has definitely been under a vehicle. Hopefully, the person riding it was ok enough to lock, or get someone else to lock it up when they went to hospital or whatever. Thats what I am assuming has happened. Its in a very bad state. just hope the rider was ok..

• foookin ell! Ive seen bikes that have been run over but nothing like that. But sod the bike, I hope the owner is ok!

• its a messengers bike (or was), he's ok, managed to walk away with a fucked foot. lucky. not sure of the details but must be gutted about his ride.

• ?????????

• Glad to hear the owner is in better shape than his bike.
I stopped by to have a look as I live near there. The whole thing is totalled. Even the rear hub has been crushed.

• redrum its a messengers bike (or was), he's ok, managed to walk away with a fucked foot. lucky. not sure of the details but must be gutted about his ride.

He is one lucky SOB, good news, any more details? How bad is the foot?

• Thats good news... that was a total mess, i bet he feels happy to of walked, or hobbled, away!

• that's good to hear. i noticed the crankarm had busted off. that's one lucky rider if he/she hobbled away from that.
