If I remember rightly, it was essentially *t*ynan getting defensive about the middle class having a right to wave their privilege in grease monkeys' faces, and jon getting defensive about grease monkeys' rights to get defensive about the middle class expecting the same service as anyone else.
*T*ynan, on the other hand, only tends to get defensive if you try to take the middle monkey out of his greasy hands while he's classily waving it in your face.
