Hmm..ain't paying 25 notes for a bloody lockring spanner that will get used once in a blue moon!
Looks like I'll have to stick with the aforementioned hammer and screwdriver approach, I'm so cheap eh!!
I'm sure the Park jobby is reasonable priced but google doesn't throw up anyone stocking it mail order apart from the U.S. unless anyone knows different.

it's lockring spanner AND a chain whip don't you know. bargain.
anyway, you sir can do whatever you like.
-

@Superprecise - If only I hadn't just shelled out for a chain whip it would indeed be a steal :( Life's a bitch sometimes!

hammer and flat head screwdriver as theBrick says works fine (unless you're totally incompetent and beat the crap out of your frame). i've done it loads like that.

You can use the right tools or you can use a hammer. Which you choose is up to you and your bank account.

oops, scrap just realised someone on here(nimh*COUGH*bus) broke the chain on mine.....hasn't minniemouse got a stronger lookin' shimano one??
I'm looking for a lockring spanner or 'c' spanner as I believe they are otherwise known.
I believe the Park PSA-3 pin spanner is also made for this but I'm having trouble locating one.
I don't really wanna pay £15 for a spanner if I can help it. Any ideas?
