I checked the guys blog the other day and things just keep getting better for him. He claimed on his insurance and managed to find a frame builder to make another version of the custom frame that was stolen, Solitude Cycles having ceased trading. Anyway, everything was ordered, including another Rohloff etc etc and then I give him his bike back. He told his insurance company that this had happened and they said that he can just keep the returned bike for spares! So now he has two £3k, sweet as fuck, steel hardtail MTBs. One happy man I reckon.
