velocity boy Yeah the building opposite has railings. There is the oblig' "don't chain bikes" sign, but it's a business building, this is a long-weekend and we will number quite a few. I don't see it being a problem and it was a consideration from the outset that a considerable number of bikes should be able to be secured very close to the venue and within view of anyone who is outside smoking.
That will be a necessity at the SL. I used to work in the building next door & I apprehended three little scrotes nicking a apple laptop from the art gallery opposite, they were on a stolen bikes We have on many occasions caught kids (the ones that go round in pairs on BMX's one on the footpegs etc) checking out our bikes at the despatch dept of Metro. Lost a couple of wheels and one bikes I think in about 10 years....not to bad.
As long as people are aware & someone is outside all the time (smokers) the bikes'll be fine.
VB's right about the locking of bikes to thoses rails, no problem over the weekend.
