  • that is an amazing story sir.

  • It is one of the better stories i have heard for a while.

  • Ooer.. didn't hear/feel a thing (Camberwell) was awake at that time too laying in bed.... bugger.. :S

  • I felt it in Clapham, thought someone was trying to get in ym room but it was just my knob rattling about

  • i genuinely thought it was people getting it on in my house...it freaked me out a bit i thought i had gone mental,i didn't though i'm fine :)

  • didnt feel a thing

but I live on a boat. So I guess I wouldnt really.

  • some twat on BBC news video going "i was watching tv and everything started shaking, we came out onto the street and realised is was an earthquake, first thing we thought was it was terrorism"

    moron

  • gabes (mercianary) some twat on BBC news video going "i was watching tv and everything started shaking, we came out onto the street and realised is was an earthquake, first thing we thought was it was terrorism"

    moron

    dickhead!

  • Joe.S Everything makes sense now. I opened my door and told my brother to keep the noise down. Thought he was really going for it!

Did it mean anyone was caught doing things they shouldn't have been doing?
    I cite as an example:

In 2002, there was an earthquake near Dudley, that day, I had taken up lodgings in Birminham with a woman who was renting a spare room. It was the Sunday before her daughter went back to uni. Knidly, she offered to show me the local boozer that evening. After far too many drinks we made it back to the house and both of us mysteriously ended up in my bed. The earthquake followed. We were too pissed to even register it but the mum got up to check everything was OK.She found her daughters room empty and the new male lodgers room full. I was rudely awaken at 6a.m and told to get my stuff and be the fsck out of her house before she got back from work. It was not an ideal start but ensures I will remember the earthquake in years to come.

    Great story ! :)

In the 2002/Dudley 'shake' - I was up and wake and doing some work, the rumble came along and I lost a (admittedly very badly mounted) speaker off the wall - and I was in North London (!!).

  • well how does that make him/her a dickhead? when you know what a BIG explosion feels like, you could be mistaken trust me... there was a powder gun factory explosion in my home town ages ago, and it was felt across the region and registered on the richter scale.
although i felt the earthquake last night and yes, after feeling the leftover tremor waves, you knew it wasnt a bomb... i did consider it could have been a bomb when the big tremor hit. and i aint no dickhead :D

  • maybe i am a twat tho... i should get myself checked at the GP or something :D

  • i was going by my own judgment...at no point did i think it was a terrorist attract,i'm not a dickhead...so everyone that did think it was is a dickhead.
