  • gabes (mercianary) I felt something too, was in the middle of cutting my hair.[/url]

    don't worry, it'll grow back ;)

  • fuck me the epicentre is near lincoln...fuckin miles away.

lots of people must have felt that.

  • how did you find out where the epicenter was?

  • USGS co-ordinates, copy and paste into google maps...

  • Thought I just had a dizzy spell on the the sofa after a few beers, but by jove it was an earthquake wtf?

  • thats from 2002!

  • nothing down here on the south coast... feel kind off left out!

  • lpg thats from 2002!

oops! someone else just disd the same thing. whaddya expect? we're shaken!

  • felt that down in ye olde stockwell, thought it was just a tube running, but nope went on for too long and was too noticeable.
    Cool!

  • Happens to me all the time.

I look at it this way - every small earthquake means another delay before the big earthquake. I'm happier to get a small tremor a week, rather than go a few years without and have another Loma Prieta.

I wasn't here for that one, and I'm bloody glad of it.

  • hey turpe do you feel a tremor every week?

  • Pretty much, give or take.

  • thats just his dildo bars...

  • I felt it here: Norwich.

  • yeah felt it in dalston too, my bird wondered what the fuck i was doing waking her up, i´ll take that as a compliment

  • Camden shook !

Cat (Dave) leapt off the sofa and made his way to safe ground (the garden), I thought it was a train.

  • Great. I sleep through London's biggest hurricane back in eighty-mumblemumble.
And now I sleep through a bloody Earthquake.

It's like being the last kid not picked for the football team. All over again.
    :(

  • holloway shook. my wife said it was a truck. wrong.

  • Didn't feel anything in oxford.
5.2 though, pretty big for England ( the biggest was 5.4).

Approx 200 earthquakes per year and 25 are felt by people.
Pretty lame though, at the same time in CA- a roughly scale 5 happened- and i doubt anyone thought anything of it.

  • addie Great. I sleep through London's biggest hurricane back in eighty-mumblemumble.
And now I sleep through a bloody Earthquake.

It's like being the last kid not picked for the football team. All over again.
    :(

yeah i'm pretty sure anyone who never felt it feels the same.

    next time!!

  • Woke me up.. Thought I was going mad..

    SE11

  • Everything makes sense now. I opened my door and told my brother to keep the noise down. Thought he was really going for it!

Did it mean anyone was caught doing things they shouldn't have been doing?
    I cite as an example:

In 2002, there was an earthquake near Dudley, that day, I had taken up lodgings in Birminham with a woman who was renting a spare room. It was the Sunday before her daughter went back to uni. Knidly, she offered to show me the local boozer that evening. After far too many drinks we made it back to the house and both of us mysteriously ended up in my bed. The earthquake followed. We were too pissed to even register it but the mum got up to check everything was OK.She found her daughters room empty and the new male lodgers room full. I was rudely awaken at 6a.m and told to get my stuff and be the fsck out of her house before she got back from work. It was not an ideal start but ensures I will remember the earthquake in years to come.
