• Only as training dictates. I don't generally do RP for 'fun' :)

• training should not be "fun"

• jonny
clefty someone on a black twatster with yellow bullhorns and yellow tyres at the lights at Oval going north today, looked like a bumble bee on wheels as he was dressed in yellow and black too. I secretly quite liked it.

sounds like hamster off of here. comes to brockwell park, nee peckham, quite regularly
not me, although it does sound a lot like my bike. i'd like to meet this imposter!
and brett - i don't have your nicked bike either :)

polo tomorrow?

• So there's two mateys in South London with black/yellow Langsters with bull horns? HHMMmmmmmmm!

• oh yeah forgot to say, i gots drops, and the tape is pretty filthy now (can't really call it yellow)

come to think of it the bar tape matches my rims which are also always filthy

• RPM training should not be "fun"

You agree then?

• how big is a single loop of richmond park

• hippy Anyone of you ride RP tonight?

yeah, i did it at 5.30 6 ish, 2 laps...the wind was fucking horrible, it nearly knocked me clean off.

• asm how big is a single loop of richmond park

10.7k

• K is a horse tranquilizer and recreational drug, not a measure of distance.

I was on the Ribble (Cuntster needs new tyres) so didn't notice it so much as that bike weighs as much as me.

I scared the shit out of a couple of riders I think. I was barreling down the hill before Roehampton Gate (cwise) at 50-60kph and passed them before the roundabout. I think they thought I was a car with my Dinotte and then shot past. One guy practically squealed! :S I think they tried to catch me after that.. probably soiled his pants or something.. maybe they thought I was too close/fast/whatever. It kept me amused anyway.

I don't class K as recreational.
The year is 2008, metric has been realised. Catch up.

• Me catch up with you? :p

• i bet i could beat hippy in a race.

• Depends in the prize was edible. Remember gold is, in small quantities, edible.

• BringMeMyFix Me catch up with you? :p

No big hills, no rollers. I'd kick your arse.

lpg, my Mum could kick your arse.

• no way man. me and my bareknuckle will piss all over your c*ntster.

yeh you heard :)

anyway, it's all trivial since BringmemyFix will piss all over both of us cos he's got deceptively powerful legs. hills or no hills Scarlett rules the roost.

:)

• Oh, we gotta race then.. I'm not having none of this climber AND good on the flat shit.. fuck that.
Showdown time bitch! :)

• OK for the benefit of an east londoner what's the terrain like in RP? If its only 6 miles per lap must be well hilly from the way you guys talk about it.

• I had my first ride in RP in the weekend and there is only 1 nasty hill...maybe about 500 meter long S bend. I'm unfit as hell and it knackered me but worth a ride around. I think it was the ride out from north london and the idea of the ride back that made it a painful expedition.

Haven't gone around it the other way which I understand is a more subtle but longer incline.

Good weekend ride though. Just don't get invloved in the half time cigs.

Probably true right now, considering you're doing 10x my weekly mileage. Then again, I could just suck the shit out of your back wheel and take you in the sprint :D

My new groupset arrived today. Was meant to be 12-25 cassette*, but they sent 11-25. I toyed with the idea of keeping it, but then realized I'd miss my 16t, and 63kg riders barely even acknowledge the existence of 11t cogs, let alone use them; unless they're pros.

*for the benefit of forum purists, that's a 'collection' of cogs that mount onto the rear hub and give you a choice of gears without turning the wheel round or whipping the chain :p

Shitting hell, this sounds fantastic. So I could change cog without having to remove the wheel... or cog? That's genius right there.
