The woman presenting is just as annoying as anyone in a car. I also am hating the phrase "school run mums". Stupid affluence.

What? At least she's trying. Would you prefer 'soccer mums'? Forget it, lets just get some more cars in front of you on your rides..

Raise your hand if you wish that 4 OD/BBC iPlayer was mac compatible. :(
Edit: raise your hand if you wish that apple would license their DRM software for third party use. :(

The way the cost of fuel is going up in the end no one will be able to afford a bloody car

People will pay whatever it costs to drive their cars, increased fuel costs over the years does nothing except make drivers grumpier. It's getting them to choose something else that will make the difference.

Yeah, I think the campaign is valid. However she is annoying, she says fantastic (farntarstic) too much and has a really animated head. The phrasing of "school run mums" is annoying mainly because it is the sort of thing the Daily mail print.

Not really. People will just stop buying their kids food. The city wanker can still spend that amount to fill up and not blink.

we've heard all the "pricing us off the roads" arguments before.
it's not working is it?
I rode through a channel of gridlocked motors today, as I will all week (unless I go back routes), door to door. absolute car park (tooting to merton park).
fuel and tax is nowhere near anything like high enough to be a deterrent.
basically, I think society in general fails to adapt quickly enough to circumstantial and environmental change.
If you'd told my father, or grandfather that if they wanted to drive two miles down the road it would take an hour, they'd have laughed and started walking, or got on a bike. It's beyond common sense, but people endure it because of the ingrained, and out of date attitudes to private motoring. -

Roadworks on Christchurch(Streatham meets Brixton Hill) and it took me 40mins to drive from Streatham Hill to Herne Hill last Saturday! I could've walked there and back on my bollocks in that time!
