    joss the two of us

  • Why the long stick?

  • Rapsac or

She can sit next to me next van trip to Ghent.. ;)

  • I can imagine you'd place your grubby gnarled hand on her knee whilst you slobber in her ear "like another tinny, sheila?"

  • It wouldn't be a question though.. the can would be open and aimed at her head.. and it wouldn't be her knee..

  • Why bother with roofies (is this the correct spelling Hippy?) when a full can of lager will do?

  • I was trying to make it sound more cultured

  • joss stone has a protective layer of babe sauce

  • Rapsac Why bother with roofies (is this the correct spelling Hippy?) when a full can of lager will do?

hehe yeah 'roofies' is fine. when did i become the local drug authority? did someone tell you about my EPO crates and coke stockpile?

    Long Live Lager!

  • Superprecise joss stone has a protective layer of babe sauce

That's not babe sauce.. but if it helps you sleep at night..

  • Not local drug authority but 'Australianism' authority.

  • Australian Jism?

  • oh yeah sorry i put an exta s on jos, oh well, nicely done everyone.

  • I'll be organising an alleycat soon so if some of you guys want to come along and make it more interesting that'd be great. And radical.

  • i thought it was ok, portrayed messengers in a okish way. people on this forum are fu%kin weird, why do you idolise messengers so much? it wasn't meant to be a video about aerospokes and new shitty fixie trends bandwagon bollox.

  • I don't idolise them at all I just think they deserve to be treated like everybody else, neither idolised or despised.

  • the perception of couriers by non-couriers has never been anywhere near like reality.....here's some truths.....at least 60 % of bike couriers have never been to the Duke or the Snow.......a similar amount don't ride fixed.....and about 80% don't consider what they do for a living as "cool"....

what is also true is that the courier community is incredibly diverse and most couriers do not fit in with the perception of them held by the media and members of the public and it appears some users of this forum too.....

  • overdrive I'll be organising an alleycat soon so if some of you guys want to come along and make it more interesting that'd be great. And radical.

interesting as in a bunch of diverse people dicking around on bikes and having a laugh? or interesting as in some of the people participating will get a bit annoyed at the non-messengers gatecrashing what was once their 'scene'?
i hear on the grapevine that not everyone is happy about alleycat racing going 'mainstream'.

  • christ, when will people stop talking about couriers in general? I for one ( and i know i speak for plenty here ) am in no way interested in them, nor have i ever been. I got interested in fixed gear bikes because it's a really interesting cycling concept, and i was already quite keen cyclist. the fact that some scruffy herberts may or may not use them to deliver parcels to people in advertising really is neither here nor there to me.

I don't idolise postmen either. The shorts and red bag were my idea, and you can't prove otherwise.

  • I'm just interested in peoples attitudes i find there are some massive schism's in the world of cycling, I'm villified by my mates who ride mtb/geared road bikes for riding fixed to them it's a "gay" kind of bike.
some couriers think they are the only cyclists who should ride fixed.
i'm just curios as to how people have such strong opinions about some bits of tube welded together and some rubber tyres.

  • i didn't mean you,i meant the thread in general, and some people still thinking that this forum is about courier worship.
I've had enough of the whole thing, really, they really are just bikes

  • BIkes and eliteism go hand in hand so it seems....on a lot of different levels.

  • get your facts right james henry McDonut.
this forum is about bikes with one gear.*

*you can fuck off with your pedantic arguments about fixed being a ratio not a gear etc.

  • I could sum this discussion up by saying: "there's cunts out there with bad attitudes, some of them ride bicycles but the majority of them drive cars" :-)

  • who are you talking to now?
