Hi folks. Bit of advice needed here...
My bike, when geared, came with a two-ring (52 and 42), three-arm, Stronglight TS crankset. I've been using the 42t chainring. However, any 'standard' (6.5mm) chainring bolts are too wide for the holes (they fit the 52, but the 52 is too big to fit within the chainstay, plus not my kind of gear ;) ). I have been making do with three bog-standard nuts and bots which fit the holes on the 42 chainring, but they need tightening after every ride and I do not want to skid or put any excessive pressure on the cranks for fear of the bolts sheering.
So, does anyone know of any narrow chainring bolt that fit the smaller chainring?
Or whether it is worth trying to locate a bigger (46) chain ring for the three-arm cranks which might have standard bolt holes?
