I'd think that the seatstays don't have that much effect when bended like that, i bet that design-feature reduces the stiffness of the frame considerably, and what goes on with the zillion bottle-holders? and baggage-rack on the fork, I'd be prepared to bet that most of the people killed on their bike in Denmark have a baggage-rack on their fork or a basket on their bar. Okay, the kind of people who ride that kind of bikes are generally also the people that don't concentrate about cycling that much... don't look at the cars, talk on their mobile, or mess with their mp3player while going trough an intersection.
