I saw Edgware Rd was closed of yesterday and a truck was across the road as if it was doing an illegal u turn and ran over something, plenty of police, fire and medical services there... hope it wasn't that, it looked grim :(

i was saying to object on the ride home, how i dislike edgeware rd. don't know what it is but everyone does stupid stuff. everyday i see peds walking across the road without looking right into traffic. plus the looney mini-cab or private hire mercedes and their dodgy parking at any spot available.

Park Lane is a horribel junction at either end. Fuck that's bad.

Don't want to jump to conclusions, but a bus driver eh?

That's rough. Said it before and I'll say it again, WAY too many buses in London, guaranteed that there were probly only about 8 people on it, and only about 5% of bus drivers can actually drive to a 'pass' standard.

Cyclist killed on London's famous Park Lane

A cyclist died after he was mown down and crushed by a bus in central London last night.

The horror smash in Park Lane at 11 pm left the man, who has not been named, with multiple injuries and he was declared dead on the scene.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and found him trapped under the bus.

An air ambulance was scrambled but did not arrive as he was confirmed dead just half an hour later.

A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman said: "There was a road traffic accident in Park Lane at 23.02 last night. One adult male cyclist was in collision with a bus.

"He was trapped and confirmed dead on the scene by doctors."

An ambulance spokesman said they were alerted to the incident just before 11pm.

He said: "There was a male under a bus. We sent two ambulances and two fast response vehicles and a duty officer.

"The air ambulance was scrambled and did not arrive at the scene as the patient was declared dead at the scene at 23.30."

There have been no arrests over the incident, Scotland Yard confirmed.

fuck. I go up & down Park lane everyday.

Buses ALWAYS run red lights out of Oxford St then psycho swerve across all the lanes to head round to Holland Park Ave. You really have to be on your toes.

Nighmare.

Bus also killed a guy by Battersea Dogs home a couple of weeks ago.
