• Hello. I want to build up a wet-weather fg with proper guards and one of those awesome Paul's Components Flatbed front racks. So I need a frame. Ideally it'll be about 22in C-T, horizontal dropouts, and eyelets front and back for mounting the guards and rack without resorting to those ugly little clamps. Gotta be light and sweet to ride, so 531 or similar. Paint can be as shitty as you like. I guess I need an old touring frame - Dawes Galaxy, or something rarer. Long shot, I know, but I thought I'd give you lot a chance to relieve me of my folding before I resort to the 'bay.

  • Can't help but I would go wit hone of the new Cetma front racks. The new ones are lighter than the old ones and get better reviews that the Paul rack.

I email the guy about getting one these a while ago this is the repose I had regarding shipping

Hey, thanks much for contacting me. I do occasionally ship racks to UK. Since shipping costs can be expensive, it's a good idea to order in quantity to save money.

It costs roughly $35 to ship one 5-rail CETMArack (5 pounds total) to the UK, and takes 6-10 days to arrive.

    $55 to ship two.

    $70 to ship three.

    $85 to ship four.

    $100 to ship five.

  • I might be able to help you out here I'll have a look at a 531 frame I picked up yesterday when I get home tonght and post some picture for you.

Interesting. His website made me laugh. They look very functional but kinda ugly. The Paul one is just so purty, and I am a tart.

  • I'd need to check the size, but if you're interested I have an old Carlton Frame that might fit the bill, I think it's 531, it's been zinc plated in preparation for being chromed (done by the person I got it from0, so you could either get it repainted or just get the whole thing chromed, would add some weight, but potentially very bling.

  • I have a 531 saracen frame i'm looking to pass on -

you can't see much from this photo and it was taken in early 2005 but the frame
is in good condition structurally - paint a bit rough as you'd expect.
Nice long drop-outs, fork doesn't quite match but is also 531.
message me if you are interested and i'll get you more info,
    ta!
